Il 1° Novembre a Termoli Presentazione di “5 DIPINTI”

A Termoli, presso Bar Caffetteria 10punto5, il Primo Novembre dalle h.11:00, il Centro Culturale il Campo, a cura di Renato Marini, durante organizzerà un incontro con Massimo Palumbo, durante il quale ci sarà la Presentazione di “5 DIPINTI”.

Massimo Palumbo, architetto e artista nato nel 1946 a Casacalenda (Molise), ha dedicato la sua vita alla ricerca tra arte, architettura e paesaggio. Laureato nel 1972 presso l’Università “La Sapienza” di Roma, ha studiato con Bruno Zevi, Maurizio Sacripanti e Laura Borroni. Dopo un quinquennio come assistente alla cattedra di Composizione Architettonica II, si è trasferito a Latina, dove ha proseguito la sua attività professionale e progettuale.

Fondatore e presidente dell’Associazione Culturale Kalenarte dal 1994, Palumbo è l’ideatore del MAACK – Museo all’Aperto d’Arte Contemporanea Kalenarte, un progetto che ha trasformato Casacalenda in un laboratorio di arte pubblica e rigenerazione territoriale. Nato nel 1992 in collaborazione con l’amministrazione comunale.

Il MAACK è un museo diffuso che si estende sull’intero territorio, con opere site-specific di artisti italiani e internazionali integrate nel paesaggio urbano e rurale. Riconosciuto a livello nazionale, il MAACK è oggi un esempio virtuoso di arte partecipata e relazionale, con oltre trent’anni di attività e una rete di collaborazioni artistiche e istituzionali. Un progetto che si evolve continuamente. Nella nuova veste di Costruiamo Paesaggio giunto alla sua IV edizione.

Nel 2025, il MAACK ha avuto un ruolo centrale nella presentazione della candidatura di Termoli a Capitale Italiana dell’Arte Contemporanea 2027, contribuendo in modo significativo al riconoscimento del territorio molisano tra le città finaliste.

Palumbo ha raccontato il percorso del MAACK nel libro Lo spazio, il tempo, l’utopia – MAACK caso studio (Palladino Editore, 2021) come testimonianza di un’esperienza pionieristica e visionaria.

L’incontro del 1° novembre sarà un’occasione preziosa per dialogare con l’autore attorno alla sua visione e ai suoi interventi che intrecciano arte, paesaggio e comunità. In un clima conviviale e informale, nel segno della relazione e della condivisione, sarà possibile conoscere da vicino il pensiero e il percorso di uno dei protagonisti dell’arte pubblica in Molise.

The shuttles, which began operating in 2007, were targeted in early 2014 as a symbol of gentrification in similar fashion to the Google bus protests in San Francisco, California that same year.
